Our Team

Dr Makarim Aldin, Lead Dentist

Makarim Aldin is a very skilled dentist with over twenty
years of experience in the dental industry. She has been
part of the Lumino team since 1999 and continues to
provide excellent treatment to all her patients.

Makarim has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys seeing how happy her patients are after their
treatment plus the benefit of improving their oral hygiene.

Justine Keane, Practice Manager

Justine Keane is the first point of contact in the Lumino
The Dentists Botany practice. She looks after all patient needs before they head to the dental chair and assures
that they are taken care of once their treatment is
complete.

Justine is very friendly and enjoys meeting new people
and making them feel at ease.

Dr Teresa Brinkley, Dentist

Teresa is one of the more recent additions to the Lumino
The Dentists Botany team and has become a valuable member of the team. She is an Otago graduate who has
also worked in the UK for five years.

Teresa loves to see her patients leave smiling, especially
after they walk in too ashamed to smile. Her dental
interests include general family dentistry, preventative dentistry and minimally invasive dentistry.

Jake Innes, Clinical Technician

Jake has a Dip Dental Technology, Advanced Certificate in Clinical Dental Tech and is a member of the NZIDT. He has been working as technician for 15 years and enjoys the
hand on creativeness of designing and making new smiles.

His specialties include repairs, partial dentures, full upper
and lower dentures. When Jake is not busy working he likes
to spend time with his family outdoors fishing, snorkelling, camping hiking and skiing.

Sharyn Veale, Hygienist

Sharyn is a very skilful dental hygienist who graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2008 and was one of
the first duel graduates in New Zealand. She is passionate about promoting good oral health care to all her patients and enjoys educating them so that they acquire better oral care habits.

Sharyn is also relatively new to the Lumino team but has
been a worthy addition and she enjoys working along side
the great team in Botany to provide all their patients high quality dental treatment.
