Our Team

Dr Ewan Yun, Lead Dentist

Ewan Yun is a long serving Lumino dentist and has been
part of the team since 2000. He is highly skilled and committed to providing all patients exceptional dental treatment ranging from general dentistry to cosmetic dentistry. His dental interests include white fillings, root
canal therapy and cosmetic dentistry.

Yun is currently furthering his dental studies for dental implants and invisalign (invisible braces). The most
enjoyable part of his role is helping people achieve healthy and beautiful mouths.

Dr Brett Hawkins, Orthodontic Dentist

Dr Brett Hawkins is a well respected dentists who has
been part of the Lumino team since 2000 who also works
at Lumino The Dentists Takapuna and is a member of the Lumino Clinical Advisory Board. Brett graduated from the University of Otago School Of Dentistry in 1992 and also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Auckland University and is a qualified primary school teacher.

Brett enjoys working with his patient’s to create great smile and helping other dentists grow professionally by mentoring them. He is a general dentist and also provides orthodontic services and his goal is to educate his patients so they understand what issues they have and how they can be helped. Brett also has many interests outside of dentistry including tramping, boating and diving.

Carole Coutts, Practice Manager

Carole Coutts has been part of the Lumino team for over
ten years now and continues to provide excellent service
and a friendly environment in our Mt Eden branch. Carole enjoys the everyday interaction with their patients and the work relationship with all the staff.

She is always motivated and welcomes challenges that
come with developing the Mt Eden practice. In her leisure time she enjoys outdoor activities including boating, cycling and tramping.

Dr Anna Walker, Dentist

Anna qualified from the University of Otago in 2003. She joined Lumino after spending time working in both private clinics and maxillofacial departments in New Zealand and London. Anna is experienced and confident in all aspects
of general dentistry. She has a special interest in minimal intervention and cosmetic dentistry. Anna loves to give people a smile they want to show the world, incorporating techniques as diverse as Invisalign (invisable braces) and
the replacement of teeth with the use of titanium implants.

Anna is committed to providing the very highest quality dentistry, using the latest technical advances, in a gentle
and professional manner. She is passionate about staying at the forefront of dentistry and regularly attends courses to ensure she is providing the absolute best dental treatment and preventative techniques for her patients.

Chantal Jefferies, Hygienist

Chantal is a qualified dental hygienist from South Africa
and has been with Lumino since 2007. She is also part of
the Lumino The Dentists City Dental at Quay Park where
she provides the dental hygiene services. The most
rewarding part of her role is helping people and seeing their faces when they look at their gorgeous smiles after their hygiene.

Her dental interests include disease risk assessment and management a plus the challenge of giving treatment to an anxious patient. She is a big believer in continuous training and research in order to change and grow.
