Our Team

 

Dr Mike Simon, Lead Dentist

Mike is a experienced and qualified dentist who graduated from The University of Otago school of Dentistry in 1981. He has been part of the Lumino team since 2007 and is very passionate about the dental treatment that he provides for all his patients as well as the interaction he has with all of them.

His dental interests include safe amalgam replacement, endodontics, CEREC, crowns and bridges. In his free time Mike likes to ski and go sailing.

 

Erin Greene, Dental Hygienist & Therapist

Erin has joined Lumino after completing her diploma in dental hygiene and therapy with Auckland University of Technology in 2011. She has worked within the dental industry for the past 10 years, working as an orthodontic auxiliary in both Tauranga and Auckland prior to her current role.

Erin enjoys working with people in a team environment and is passionate about oral health. Outside of work she enjoys water polo, netball and socialising.

Erin also works at Lumino The Dentists Miramar in Wellington.

 

Bettina Schmid, Hygienist

Bettina is an experienced Dental Hygienist, having graduated in 1984 in Zurich, Switzerland. Her main interests lie in treating fast progressing periodontal (gum) disease and looking at nutritional aspects of periodontal disease.

Bettina enjoys educating her patients and success as a team in treating patients. She is constantly furthering her studies to ensure she is up-to-date with recent studies and technologies.

Outside of the practice Bettina enjoys bush walks, skiing and exploring the country on motorbike tours with her partner.
