Clinical Advisory Board
At Lumino The Dentists, we believe in building partnerships with our clinicians, who play a critical role in the success of the Lumino dental business, and lead the way in providing quality and clinical excellence.
The Clinical Advisory Board provides a voice for our clinicians, enabling them to express their opinions and provide valuable input into the vision and strategy of our business. The Board is led by senior clinicians from within the group, who work in partnership with management to ensure the ongoing success of the Lumino business.
Lumino The Dentists is leading the way in dentistry in New Zealand, and there are significant opportunities for clinicians as we continue to grow the network.

Dr Allen Baker
Dr Allen Baker is Lead Dentist at Lumino The Dentists - DentalOne practice in Auckland and is recognised as one
of Auckland’s leading cosmetic dentists. Allen is also Chairman of the Clinical Advisory Board.
In 1987, he was instrumental in starting New Zealand's first-ever dental emergency surgery that regularly dealt with dental trauma. Allen continues to up skill and embrace new dental technologies. He brings this wealth of experience and skill in reconstruction to cosmetic dentistry and the results speak for themselves. Allen joined Lumino in February 2005.
Dr Andrea Shepperson
Dr Andrea Shepperson is Lead Dentist at Lumino The Dentists - City Dental at Quay Park, Auckland. Her clinical focus is advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1997.
She is also a member of the New Zealand Dental Association and a Director of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2007, she became the first New Zealand dentist to lecture to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Andrea Shepperson joined Lumino in November, 2007.
Dr Rob Shearman
Dr Rob Shearman is Clinical Leader of Lumino The Dentists - Proudmouth Dentistry. After practising dentistry in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, Rob joined Proudmouth Dentistry, which is part of the Lumino network, in 2002.
He is a past President of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Dental Association. His areas of expertise include cosmetic dentistry and complex dental cases, including the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr Rob Shearman joined Lumino in September 2008.
Dr Brett Hawkins
Dr Brett Hawkins graduated from the Otago Dental School in 1992 and started his career at Christchurch Hospital. The warmer weather drew him to the north with his young family where he worked in a busy cosmetic practice in Whangarei.
Since 1995 he has practised dentistry in Auckland with his main interests being orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Brett is currently Lead Dentist at Lumino The Dentists in Mt Eden.
Dr Cathrine Lloyd
Dr Cathrine Lloyd is Lead Dentist at Lumino The Dentist Courtenay Place in Wellington. She graduated from the University of London and went on to practise general dentistry in the United Kingdom before moving to Wellington.
Cathrine has served terms on a number of New Zealand Dental Association committees over many years, in addition to serving as an NZDA board member. In recognition of her long-standing service and work, Cathrine was awarded Fellow of the NZDA in 2010.
Dr Anna Walker
Dr Anna Farr graduated from Otago University Dental School and started her career at Wellington Hospital as a dental house surgeon. Before joining the Lumino team she was living and practising in London at Luton and Dunstable Hospital where she also started up a book club for 21 of
her friends.
Anna now balances her days out in both Lumino The Dentists - Auckland University and Lumino The Dentists - Mt Eden practices, where she provides excellent dental care to all her patients.
