It’s essential that your mouthguard fits well to provide the best protection possible. It should be thick in the correct areas, resilient and comfortable to wear. It shouldn't interfere with your speaking and breathing.
Store-bought mouthguards, including the ‘boil & bite’ and ‘stock’ variety, are generally available from chemists and sports stores. They often give a poor fit, cause discomfort or make it difficult for the player to breathe properly.
