Dental implants are an excellent option for replacing one or more lost teeth. They're made to look and feel as close to your natural teeth as possible.
Implants will also help improve your speech, make it easier to eat, and improve your overall oral health. They’re durable, convenient and comfortable and can help boost your confidence.
Dental implants are a replacement root with a crown placed on top. Implants are used to replace one or more teeth. They are also used to hold dentures in place.
Both the front and back teeth are suitable for implants. Front teeth influence your appearance, to give you a new look. Your back teeth are less important for your appearance, but their mechanical function is important. Back teeth implants are designed accordingly.
Getting a dental implant is a two-step process. The first step is the implant placement and the second step is the implant restoration.
The titanium or alloy implant is surgically placed and left to fuse with the jawbone. Very few dentists have the training and experience to carry out this complicated procedure. In most cases, these dentists also carry out the second step.
The replica tooth, crown or denture is fitted on top of the fused implant. Most dentists can carry out this procedure.
At Lumino Auckland Central we offer a Teeth-on-4 service with our experienced implant dentists. Teeth-on-4 treatment is a cost-effective, advanced technique, where a whole arch of teeth is supported by four implants.
This modern treatment concept can be used in either the upper and/or lower jaw to support immediate, fixed natural looking and functioning replacement teeth. Since fewer implants are used compared to other methods, it allows for simpler cleaning while still delivering the best result.
We have a range of experienced implant dentists to help suit your needs. They bring together a variety of experience placing and restoring implants both in New Zealand and overseas. Our implant dentists at Auckland Central have similar goals of improving the overall oral health of each patient and helping them feel great about their smile.
