Dentist

Dr Michelle Ting

Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago and is a member of the NZDA. 

Having spent two years working in Dunedin and Christchurch hospitals as a dental house surgeon, Michelle has a broad range of experience and enjoys all aspects of dentistry.

Calm and careful, her favourite part of the job is seeing a nervous patient become relaxed in the chair. Outside work hours, she is kept busy by her two young children.

Dr Helen Gibbons

Dr Helen Gibbons has a BDS and BSC in Microbiology. She graduated from the University of Otago in 1985. Her interests include long-term treatment planning for addressing ageing dentition, practicing holistic approaches to the treatment of dental disease and doing minimally invasive treatments. Her end goal is to empower patients to take responsibility of their own oral health after all.

Dr Helen also attends a monthly study group and joins NZDA and other industry seminars to keep abreast with the new techniques, technologies and treatments available in dentistry.

Coffee is something that gives her a jolt of energy and she can’t NOT have her cuppa. She also loves traveling, hanging out with family and friends, following the lively Wellington music scene, as well as being in the mountains. Something that might surprise you is that she likes Country and Western music!

Dr Helen is in til late on the first Monday of each month.

Oral Health Therapist

Glenda McMan

Glenda graduated from Wellington Polytechnic with a Dip. Dental Therapy in 1996 and from AUT University in 2013 with a BHSc (Oral Health) and is a registered Dental Hygienist and Therapist.

She enjoys being able to educate patients about how the mouth interrelates with our general health and seeing improvement in oral hygiene at recall appointments. Glenda’s clinical interests include new product developments and/or scientific journal articles to advance management of periodontal disease.

Outside of work hours you can find Glenda going to the gym, trying new recipes and spending time with her friends and family.

Hygienist

Robyn Beaumont

Robyn graduated in 1979 from RNZDC Burnham Camp and also qualified as a Dental Therapist in Wellington in 1989. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist.  She loves working with people, especially one-on-one with a patient, and helping prevent dental disease.  Robyn is furthering her knowledge through Continuing Professional Development studies.

Away from work Robyn is a keen skier, bike rider and loves to travel.  She also values spending time with her family.

Practice Manager

Julie Humfrey

Julie is originally from Bonnie Scotland and made the move 12 years ago to New Zealand.

She has enjoyed various roles in the dental industry over the last 16 years and has spent the last five years with Lumino.

She is passionate about having a happy team and believes this makes for a great working atmosphere and in turn, a positive dental experience for patients.

In her spare time Julie enjoys Travelling, going to the gym, long walks with her Husband and dog, catching up with her grown up children at the weekend and sometimes curling up with a box set and a Merlot!
