Dr Kevan WongDr Kevan Wong


Kevan has been providing both surgical and prosthetic implant treatments for over 20 years.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He has also been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the University of London in Implant Dentistry, for his original work in dental implantology, bone grafting and sinus work.

Kevan has diverse interests apart from dentistry, research, and family. He is a keen hunter, fisherman, diver, and spends a lot of time boating. But he has recently taken up the exciting sport of motorcycle trail and adventure riding.

Dr Kevan Wong’s achievements:

Internationally Kevan’s implant work has been recognised by publications in professional referred journals, and by the award of a Fellowship and Diplomate status by The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Kevan was awarded a Fellowship in 2000 and then 2002 by The Dunhill Medical Trust London, investigating bio-films and periodontal pathogens on both teeth and implants.

In New Zealand Kevan is listed as a Clinical Advisor and Surgical Provider to Accident Compensation Commission (ACC).

Kevan is a Member of The Faculty of Examiners Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Kevan is a member of the International Bone and Mineral Society, Association of Dental Implantology(UK), International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Association of Osseointegration, British Dental association and the New Zealand Dental association.

Kevan has authored several scientific and clinical papers published in the literature, and continues in research on tissue regeneration and implant developments. In addition to giving lectures he provides advanced implant training both in New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
