HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Once you’re a Plan member, booking appointments online is just the same with one small tweak! You will now also be able to book appointments through your Patient Portal. If you prefer to call to book an appointment, you can get in touch with our call centre on 0508 586 466 or call your own practice directly.

CAN I SEE ANY OF THE DENTISTS AND HYGIENISTS AT MY LUMINO PRACTICE?
We do recommend that you see your own usual dentist and hygienist frequently, as they’ll be very familiar with your treatment history. A relationship between a patient and a dentist or a hygienist is one that naturally lends itself to trust and mutual respect, and that’s a great thing for your oral health! However, if your usual dentist and hygienist are away, you are indeed welcome to book an appointment with any of your practice’s other clinicians.

WHAT IF I CAN’T GET AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE MY TREATMENT EXPIRES?
Normally, we would extend a Plan’s expiry date. This decision is, however, at the discretion of your dentist or hygienist, after taking appointment availability into consideration.

We can assure you that we’ll do our very best to accommodate you, however if you genuinely can’t attend an appointment within your allocated 12 months, we’ll extend the expiry date of your Plan by up to a week, or offer you an alternative appointment with another clinician at your practice.

CAN I EXTEND AN EXPIRY DATE FOR A TREATMENT IF I’M GOING AWAY?
Typically, we wouldn’t extend a Plan’s expiry date under ordinary circumstances. In saying that, if your personal circumstances are unique, your clinician will be able to use his or her discretion on this, also considering upcoming appointment availability.

CAN I JOIN THE LUMINO DENTAL PLAN AND USE IT TO COVER THE COST OF A TREATMENT I’VE JUST HAD?
Yes, you can! Please make sure you mention that you’d like to sign up for the Plan at reception and they’ll take care of it for you. The Lumino Dental Plan can also be purchased retrospectively, up to 24 hours after receiving dental treatment.
