HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost of the Lumino Dental Plan depends on several factors and may in fact vary ever so slightly between our participating practices.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR IT?
We know that nobody likes payment hassles, no matter what it’s for! So, we’ve developed simple payment options that are straightforward and easy to follow.

It’s up to you how you prefer to pay. You can pay for your plan either annually or monthly, using a credit card or debit card. Of course, you’ll also be able to manage your payments in your Patient Portal.

IS IT INTEREST-FREE?
Yes! The Lumino Dental Plan is interest free!

CAN I USE MY Q CARD?
No, you can’t use your Q Card. Lumino Dental Plan payments are deducted either once a year or each month, from your debit or credit card. If you do end up needing additional treatment over the year, you’ll be able to choose to either apply your 10% discount on additional treatments or cover the treatment cost with Q card. The 10% discount  can’t be used in conjunction with Q card.

CAN I GET EXTRA DISCOUNT IF I BUY THE PLAN FOR SOMEONE ELSE?
At this stage, we’re able to offer one Lumino Dental Plan per patient, per year. We don’t currently have an additional discount offer if you wish to join up another family member or friend to the Plan – although we do love the idea The Lumino Dental Plan is of course. under constant review and development, so this may change in the future.

IS THE PLAN CHEAPER FOR CHILDREN?
Parents may choose to sign their children up to the Lumino Dental Plan, so their child receives the ultimate in oral health care and prevention, from a young age. The cost is the same as the adult Plan. Also, if your child is subsidised for youth or teen dentistry in NZ through the government’s youth dentistry programme, you can choose to sign them up to the Plan at the conclusion of their funded dental treatment, once they turn 18 years old.

WHAT DO I DO IF I THINK I’VE BEEN CHARGED INCORRECTLY?
Firstly, log in to your Patient Portal to check the payment charges. If you feel that something’s not right, please call your Lumino Dental Plan practice to resolve the issue or email the Lumino Dental Plan Product Support Team.

CAN I GET REIMBURSED IF I DON’T USE ALL MY TREATMENTS?

We’ll be in touch with appointment reminders before you’re due to come in. We’ll also email you shortly before your Plan’s expiry date to make sure you’ve got the best chance to use all your treatments. Unfortunately, we can’t offer reimbursement for any treatments that aren’t used.

WILL I BE CHARGED A FEE IF MY DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT FAILS OR IS LATE?
At Lumino, we use Stripe as our Lumino Dental Plan payment provider. This platform is an exceptionally secure payment gateway and easily manages the complexity of our Lumino Dental Plan charges.

First, log in to your Patient Portal to check the payment changes. We don’t charge penalty fees for failed payments, however we do as that you update your card details on your Patient Portal, if that was the cause of the issue.

IF A PAYMENT FAILS, WILL YOU GET IN TOUCH AND LET ME KNOW?
Stripe, our Lumino Dental Plan payment provider will automatically retry a failed payment up to three times, or until successful. If the payment still isn’t successful after three attempts, your Lumino Dental Plan practice will call you about your payment issue.
