Kim and her family have always wanted to live in another country, so when an opportunity arose, they took it. Their decision to move to New Zealand, sight unseen, came from extensive research and the positive reviews they heard about the beauty and friendliness of the people here. On July 4, 2017, they “declared their independence” from the US and moved to New Zealand. They have never looked back.

Kim first worked in a group practice in Feilding until the family moved to Wellington in 2020. Her husband works as a game developer here, her daughter is starting university here in 2021, and her son is in intermediate school. They enjoy learning about different cultures, trying new foods, and traveling to new places. As a family, they also play games together. Their family is completed with their chihuahua, Bucky Barnes, who also came over from the US with them.
