Kieran has a strong connection to Southland. He was born and brought up in Invercargill and went to secondary school in Gore.
After graduating from Otago University he practiced general dentistry, first in Hamilton and then in Melbourne before returning to Otago University and completing his Masters in Dental Surgery in Orthodontics.
He returned to Invercargill soon after completing his Masters to give his family the same wonderful opportunities he had growing up in Southland.

I graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2012. As an Oral Health Therapist, I have worked in various roles in the dental industry. This includes for the Southern District Health Board, New Zealand Universities-as an educator in the Bachelor of Oral Health programmes, private practices in New Zealand, as well as internationally where I worked as a dental hygienist in London. I even managed to do some dental volunteering in Cambodia. When not working, I enjoy gardening and travelling around the world.
