Lead Dentist

Dr Jacob Grieve

After graduating with distinction from Otago University in 2002, Jacob gained valuable surgical experience as a Dental House Surgeon. This was consolidated further when he worked in a surgical team in Manchester, England.

As well as continuing working as a general dentist, Jacob teaches final year dental students for Otago University. Jacob is passionate about all areas of general dentistry but fosters a special interest in cosmetics, treatment of anxious people and wisdom teeth removal.

Jacob was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and received the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) Outstanding Young Dentist Award…

Jacob was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) and received the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) Outstanding Young Dentist Award in 2009.  He is the current President of the NZDA Otago branch, and a member of the NZDA, RACDS, the New Zealand Society of Sedation in Dentistry and the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  He serves on a nation-wide Restorative Advisory Panel for Henry Schein, and mentors a group of new graduate dentists in the Graduate Professional Development Programme hosted by the NZDA.

When not in the office, Jacob enjoys cycling  on and off road. He also enjoys attending Equippers church and spending time with his wife Justine, their three children and one cat.

Dentist

Dr Chuen Lin

Chuen Lin graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction from the University of Otago.

She is passionate about all aspects of dentistry, in particular restorative dentistry. She loves getting to know her patients and when they leave with a smile on their face, it truly makes her day.

Chuen Lin is committed to keeping up to date with the ever evolving dental industry, its technologies, and practices.

Currently she tutors at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago and is also a member of the Dunedin Study research team within the Faculty.

In her free time, Chuen Lin enjoys spending time with family, playing badminton, and reading.

She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Malay.

Dentist

Dr Zoe Brook

Zoe was born and raised in Dunedin where she completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Otago.

She then moved to Perth, Australia and graduated as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia. The call of home soon became too much and she has been practicing in Central Otago until the opportunity to return to Dunedin and join the Knox team arose.

Zoe is passionate about helping people improve their oral health, smiles, and confidence. In particular, Zoe enjoys working with patients to overcome dental anxiety and improve their wellbeing through education and high-quality dental care.

Outside work Zoe enjoys tramping, cooking and has recently taken up knitting!

Oral Health Therapist

Anna Renwick

Anna graduated from Otago University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She is interested in treating periodontal disease and caries prevention and aims to provide a caring, comfortable and educational experience for her patients.
 
Anna loves meeting a variety of people and enjoys the constant challenges which help develop her practice.
 
When not at work Anna’s favourite thing to do is spend time with her family, friends and doing CrossFit. She also likes challenging herself physically through Roller Derby and played for Auckland which saw her travel around the country and overseas to Australia and America.

Hygienist

Sue Bainbridge

Sue trained as a dental hygienist in the Armed Forces (UK) in 1981, and during her 16 years service gained valuable experience in the Oral Surgery Department, Orthodontic department and working in General Dentistry.  

She has also trained as a Practice Manager and has experience as a Dental Hygiene Tutor.  Sue  taught the Dental Nurse course for 7 years at Worthing College of Further Education (UK) and gained her certificate in Teaching.

When not preventing gum disease, Sue also enjoys reading, walking the dogs, sewing and crafting.

Practice Manager

Justine Grieve

Justine Grieve has been a part of the Knox Dental team since 2007.

She loves being a part of a team that is committed to helping people have healthy, happy, smiles for life. Whilst her role is mainly unseen, her people background in Physiotherapy and church ministry mean that patient service motivates all that she does.

Outside of work Justine is an active member of Equippers Church and enjoys skiing, mountain biking and spending time with her husband Jacob and three children Josh, Daniel and Chloe.

She usually has a good book on the go and can always be tempted by good food paired with great company.
