Dr Russell Cadwallader
Russell graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bart’s and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in the United Kingdom. After this, he moved to Plymouth to complete his foundation year in dentistry for the NHS. This was close to his childhood home of Truro, Cornwall. In the time that Russell was at Cedar Dental Care, he explored further education in Restorative, Endodontics, and Prosthodontics and has found these areas of dentistry enjoyable.
As an 8 year-old boy, Russell fell in love with the Lord of the Rings when it released in cinema. This sparked a love for New Zealand and to visit the country. Finally, in 2023 the dream move to New Zealand was started with his girlfriend Alice and their aim is to live a full rounded life. If it can be hiked, climbed, swam in or surfed, Russell and Alice are keen to experience.
Dr Sanjay Madhav
Sanjay qualified as a dentist (BDS) at Otago in 1986. Upon graduating, Sanjay started working in the first private A&E clinic in Auckland, later setting up his own A&E clinic at Takanini, while also operating a general practice in Pukekohe since 1991.
Sanjay has an interest in general dentistry (in particular implants and root canals) and cosmetic dentistry to improve a patient’s smile. He has a conservative approach and is a current member of the New Zealand Dental Association, Auckland Dental Association, and New Zealand Society of Endodontic.
Outside of work Sanjay enjoys playing hockey and also is a keen gardener and likes landscaping.
Dr Andrew Li
Andrew was raised in Auckland and went to the University of Otago to pursue a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery graduating in 2021.

After graduation, Andrew moved back to Auckland to practice in West and East Auckland where he has picked up invaluable skills in general dentistry. After a few years in Auckland, he has decided coming to the Waikato would be a great way to help communities that need dentists.
Andrew has travelled not only in NZ but has gone overseas to further his dental training, learning from the best in Australasia and abroad in root canals, extractions and cosmetic dentistry. He believes the best feeling in the world is when the patient has been relieved of his pain, whether that is a toothache or not being happy with their smile.
Andrew loves to talk to his patients to understand their needs and provides an in-depth explanation of their oral condition along with the appropriate treatment options. Andrew believes the patient should leave happy and satisfied with the outcome.
Along with dentistry Andrew loves to hit the gym and plays football on his days off and when possible go travelling to see what the world has to offer.
Sian Mansill
Sian graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Liverpool Dental School in 2012.
She has a passion for preventative care, and educating patients for positive health outcomes. The goal Sian wants to accomplish in her work is to build relationships with patients to enable patients to feel comfortable.
Sian's favourite thing about her job is her patients and seeing the improvement in their oral health.
Outside of work, Sian enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons at their caravan, bush nature walks, and the beach.
Vanessa Cassels
Vanessa graduated as an Oral Health Therapist in 2008.
Her interests include Restorative Dentistry and Orthodontics and her main focus is to educate her patients.
Vanessa says she gets real enjoyment and satisfaction seeing an increase in confidence form nervous or anxious patents and loves seeing patients achieving great oral health.
Outside of the practice, Vanessa most enjoys spending time with her family.
Kylie Buckland
Kylie joined the team in September 2024, having moved from Auckland has now settled in Cambridge. She enjoys her role of keeping the practice running smoothly. She has over 20 years of experience in customer service and comes with a dental background bringing vast knowledge and skills. Kylie is passionate about ensuring all patients are welcomed with a smile and leaving knowing that they have received the best service and care. Meeting new and varied people is the most enjoyable part of her role as well as managing the practice.
When she is not in the practice, she is busy being a mum to her son Luca, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the mighty Waikato.
