Michelle graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago and is a member of the NZDA.
Having spent two years working in Dunedin and Christchurch hospitals as a dental house surgeon, Michelle has a broad range of experience and enjoys all aspects of dentistry.
Calm and careful, her favourite part of the job is seeing a nervous patient become relaxed in the chair. Outside work hours, she is kept busy by her two young children.
Elizandro graduated with a BDS in 2000. Having completed his studies in Brazil he decided to further his career in New Zealand and registered under the Dental Council for New Zealand and Australia.
The most enjoyable part of his role is making patients feel welcome and at ease, as well as improving and maintaining dental health. Elizandro likes to work with his patients as a team to get the best result. He also likes to ensure he gets his patients dentally healthy with the most natural looking options. To keep a tooth looking like a tooth is crucial as a dentist!
Outside of the practice Elizandro likes to stay healthy by going to the gym and running. He also enjoys photography.
A graduate of the University of Manchester in the UK, Kiran Thakrar has over 20 years of experience in community services and private practices in the UK and New Zealand. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and passionately cares about her patients. As a dedicated believer in preventative dentistry, she follows a holistic approach to dental care. She educates and encourages her patients to enable them to improve their own oral health and avoid problems in the future.
She came to Wellington in 2006 with her family out of interest. They were so fascinated with the city, the friendly people and the New Zealand lifestyle that they decided to call it ‘home’.
Vishi was born in Brunei and moved to New Zealand as a teenager. She graduated from Otago in 2012 and has been enjoying general dentistry since. Her favourite part of her work is getting to know her patients and treating their needs for the long haul.
Outside of work she loves cooking, eating, travelling, dancing and is slowly making her way through the Great Walks of New Zealand.
Bettina graduated 1984 as a Dental Hygienist from the Zuerich Dental Hygiene School in Switzerland.
After immigrating to New Zealand and the birth of her third child she became part of a small group of hygienists introducing the then still new profession to New Zealander’s.
Bettina’s main interests lie in actively involving clients in the management of their gum health enabling them to impact on their general wellbeing in a positive way.
She enjoys working as part of a best practice-patient focused team.
In her spare time Bettina enjoys bushwalks around the Wellington hills and snow skiing with family and friends.
Claire started off her career in the dental field working as a dental nurse in Ireland, before continuing training in BSC Oral Health Science in Scotland. Since qualifying in 2015, she has worked as a hygienist/ therapist in both England and Scotland, whilst continuing her studies through post-graduate vocational training.
Her aim is to provide the highest quality of dental care in a relaxed and professional manner, improving patients' confidence by transforming their oral health.
In her free time, she likes to take part in sports such as rowing, running and the gym. She's very keen on travelling and really enjoys her time exploring the amazing places that New Zealand has to offer.
Alaina graduated from Otago University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Oral Health. In her final year, she was awarded the Annette King award for the highest-grade point average. Since qualifying Alaina has worked in Wellington for a Specialist Periodontist and reputable dentists.
In 2016 she spent time in the Himalayas carrying out volunteer dental work and more recently Alaina spent two years working in private practices in London.
Alaina believes strongly in preventative dentistry and has a special interest in patients with periodontal disease. She has a friendly, kind natured and thorough approach to care with her patients.
Outside of work she likes travelling and exploring new eating places.
