Dr James Wong
James was born in Malaysia and finished high school in Melbourne (two years in Trinity Grammar).
He has called New Zealand home since 1992, and earned a BDS from the University of Otago in 1996. His interests are in restorative dentistry, implants and root canal treatment.
What he loves about his job is being social and building a strong connection with his patients and staff. He feels very motivated when he builds relationships with his patients -- putting smiles on their faces and in turn turning them into friends.
James loves being with his friends and family, traveling, and doing sports.
Fun Fact: Besides English, he speaks Malay and 3 different Chinese languages (Mandarin, Cantonese and Foochow)!
Dr Hannah Chan
Hannah was born in Taipei, Taiwan and has been in New Zealand since 1988. She graduated with a BDS from Otago in 1996. Her interests include restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
She finds it most satisfying when she sees her patients achieve their goals, and believes that great communication with them is key to successful outcomes. She makes it her goal to put smiles on her patients faces and to become not just their doctor but their friend too.
When not on her dental chair, Hannah loves delving into architecture and interior design, as well as reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Dr. Natalie Revell
Natalie Graduated from Otago University in 2009. She worked in Dunedin Hospital as a Maxillofacial house surgeon where she enjoyed the trauma and emergency aspect of dentistry. For the last 7 years she has worked in private practice providing a wide range of dental treatment. Natalie is commited to ongoing education and continuously attends and travels abroad to grow and learn new skills that she can bring into practice here at Contemporary Dental!

Dr Pawan Kalra
Pawan is the Lead Dentist at Advanced Dental, Manurewa. He graduated from University in New Delhi with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1989 and Fellowship (ICOI) in 2007.
Being the leader of a team and meeting different clients is what Pawan enjoys most about his job. Pawan has a special interest in surgical and implant dentistry and is furthering his studies by attending short courses and conferences. Pawan also provides ACC covered implants.
Outside of the practice Pawan likes to read books, watch movies, play golf, spend time with his family and coach a cricket team.
Dr Saskia Saetrum
Dr Saskia graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Before moving to Auckland, she practiced in rural Central Otago and in Hawke’s Bay.
She has a strong attention to detail and is committed to providing her patients with exceptional dental treatment. She continues to build on her professional qualifications, and regularly attends courses both nationally and internationally.
She is also accredited with the NZ Society of Sedation in Dentistry to provide intravenous (IV) sedation using midazolam for treatment appointments. IV sedation causes deep relaxation and sleepiness, and is a very effective and safe option for people…

Her special area of clinical interest is in root canal therapy, and she is a committee member and treasurer for the NZ Society of Endodontics.
In addition to dentistry, she has advanced training in Botox and Dermal Fillers and is a member of the Australasian Academy of Dento-facial Aesthetics. Botox is an effective treatment for bruxism (tooth grinding and clenching) and tension headaches, as well as its use in appearance medicine.
Suhaylah Begg
Suhaylah graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2021 in Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health. Dual Qualified as a Therapist and Hygienist.
Before joining Lumino Suhaylah worked at the DHB and Toothgroup family dentistry.
Suhaylah is passionate about providing the best oral health care to her patients. Suhaylah wants her patients, young or elderly, to enjoy every dental visit with her. Suhaylah loves providing oral health education to her patients and seeing them feel confident about their smiles. Suhaylah can speak Hindi, English and Urdu.
Suhaylah hobbies are baking, dancing and shopping. She also enjoys spending time with family and trying out different foods.
