Ngahina has a detailed knowledge of modern dentistry and has an interest in how oral health can affect a person’s overall health. She is a skilled clinician who performs all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Ngahina combines her love of meeting new people and travelling each year by making time to attend a range of national and international courses and conferences. These hours of extra training spent each year ensure regular professional development and expansion of her skills and knowledge.
Originally from Australia, Ngahina has been living locally in Masterton with her fiancé Damien Pivac for the past 3 years. Ngahina has experience with nervous patients and she always demonstrates a caring and relatable approach towards any treatment. She gets great satisfaction through forming long-term relationships with her patients. When not at the dental practice, Ngahina enjoys travelling, running, Zumba and spending time with her family and many animals.
Dr Jaco Vorster joins Lumino from South Africa, where he graduated in 2009.
He has a special interest in Endodontics, Crown and Bridge work. His main clinical goals include giving quality dentistry to patients as well as incorporating modern day techniques to give long lasting results. Dr Jaco also does Invisalign - a procedure that corrects and straightens teeth (mush like 'invisible braces' as they call it).
He is planning to further his studies and says he is always willing to push himself as much as he can.

Outside of the practice, Jaco loves to travel and explore the world. He also enjoys sports including cricket and golf. His favourite place to be is on a secluded beach on a warm sunny day (with a cold drink in hand) and with his wife by his side! 2018 is looking like an exciting year with his first born baby due!

Candi graduated from Lansing Community College in Michigan (USA) with an Applied Science Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1994. She is a registered dental hygienist and furthers her professional development with ongoing continuing education courses.
Candi joined Lumino in May 2016 and is looking forward to helping patients maintain a healthy mouth.
In her spare time Candi enjoys hiking, going to the beach and to the movies.
Rue graduated with a Bachelor of Health from the University of Otago in 2010. She expresses a great interest in teaching good oral health habits and informing her patients of the best ways to brush their teeth.
Rue loves meeting new people and getting to know more about her patients. She loves spending time with her family, particularly her two boys who are also one of her biggest motivators.
Trish is a long-serving member of the Masterton practice joining them in 1999 before they joined the Lumino team, so she is well known to all their patients and the Masterton community. She has valuable knowledge in the dental field and is experienced in assisting all patients to assure that they have a positive experience when visiting their dentist.
Trish enjoys helping patients to achieve their healthy smile and working with a great team.
When she has time away from the practice Trish enjoys travel, gardening, cycling, reading and spending time with her daughter who lives in Christchurch.
