Dr Mark Dolheguy

Mark qualified from Otago in 1998 and has over 20 years experience in general dentistry.  After graduating he moved to London where he spent 18 years in private practice.

Mark has a special interest in cosmetic and minimally invasive dentistry, including porcelain veneers, crowns, bridges and cosmetic orthodontics. 

Mark is experienced in the replacement of missing teeth using implants and bridgework.  He is also interested in digital dentistry and smile design.

Dr. Janice Choi

Dr. Janice Choi is originally from Vancouver, Canada. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston, MA. Since 2008, Janice has been in private practice in New Jersey and prides herself on putting her patients at ease while creating genuine smiles. In 2023, Janice sold her practice to prepare for an adventure of a lifetime with her husband, Scott and children, Taylor and Wyatt. After 5 months of world travel, Janice is excited to join the team at Lumino, New Plymouth while she settles into life in New Zealand.

Michelle Church

Michelle's extensive experience in retail management paved the way for her transition to Lumino The Dentists. Since joining the team in 2014, she has excelled as a Dental Assistant and Receptionist before being promoted to Practice Manager in June 2020. Michelle is a certified Dental Assistant through the New Zealand Dental Association.

Michelle consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to understanding and addressing the specific needs of our patients, allowing her to provide personalised and compassionate care. Her approach is marked by genuine empathy, kindness, and a steadfast willingness to embrace new challenges.

Beyond her professional life, Michelle treasures quality time with her loved ones and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Taranaki, from its awe-inspiring mountain to its tranquil coastline.

Frank Guo

Frank Guo graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2021 with a Bachelor of Oral Health and brings four years of hands-on experience from Australia's public dental sector. During this time, he managed a wide range of challenging periodontal cases and paediatric restorative treatments, earning numerous commendation letters for his gentle and results-focused approach.

With a strong interest in periodontics and atraumatic paediatric dentistry, Frank is committed to delivering effective, compassionate care through clear communication and a calm chairside manner. Originally from China, Frank moved to Australia in 2019 and is now excited to begin a new chapter in New Zealand. Outside the clinic, he enjoys fishing, camping, food and restoring classic Japanese and German cars.
