She and her husband moved from Auckland to Palmerston North for her first job right after finishing her degree. She went back to Auckland for a year in 2019 to teach at the Department of Oral Health at AUT where she enjoyed training and moulding the new generation of Oral Health Graduates. She is currently back in the Manawatu Region—and now the Kapiti Coast—dividing her time between her patients, her garden and the church library in Whanganui.

She enjoys interacting with her patients and educating them about their oral conditions in order to empower people to help themselves. She understands that dental visits can be daunting for some people so she goes out of her way to make people welcome. Her surgery is a little oasis of classical music and the walls are covered in her art work. She believes that dental care should be as relaxing as possible and does what she can to make dental visits as pleasant as she can make it.

Her clinical interests are advanced periodontal disease while outside of work, she spends most of what spare time she has organising her personal library and repairing book for the Church Library.
