Miramar Nick T
Lead Dentist

Nick Tramoundanas

Nick graduated from the University of Otago with a BSc (Biochemistry) in 1975 and a BDS in 1979 and in 2004, FACDNA (Fellow of the Academy of Computerised Dentistry of North America). He established the Miramar Dental Health Centre in 1979 and joined the Lumino group in 2006.

Within his role, Nick enjoys the ability to lead a team to help their patients enjoy the benefits of good oral standards and a healthy mouth and appearance. His clinical interests include Oral Rehabilitation using the latest computerised methods, which includes placement of implants using guided surgery and manufacturing of complete crowns and veneers using simulated jaw techniques to ensure the fit of all 1 to 24 teeth as necessary. Also the saving of teeth using root treatment techniques that ensure longevity of the broken down teeth and treating Bruxing (teeth grinding and clenching) issues and alleviating them.

Dr Wayne Affat

Wayne graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in 1986. After graduating he worked as a locum dentist before opening his own general dental practice in Johannesburg in 1990. 

He regularly attends seminars, workshops and conferences to keep up to date with the fast-changing face of dentistry. Wayne offers a full range of restorative dentistry options and is happy to consult in this area in addition to providing cosmetic options.

His empathetic nature and philosophy of full dialogue between dentist and patient regarding their dental needs allows patients to quickly gain trust and build a good relationship between them.

He decided to quit the rat race of Johannesburg in the latter part of 2016 and relocate to Wellington early in 2017 - to live life as one is supposed to. In his spare time he enjoys burning off energy in the gym, fine dining, and ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Dr Sunjna Harduth

Dr Sunjna Harduth is a highly qualified and skilled dentist at Lumino The Dentists Miramar. Sunjna graduated from the highly regarded Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa. She thoroughly enjoys the interactions she has with her patients and helping them achieve the smile they deserve.

Sunjna has a special dental interest in Cerec and is always learning more about the treatment while working alongside Lead Dentist Nick Tramoundanas. Outside the dental practice Sunjna enjoys spending time with family, travelling and painting.

Oral Health Therapist

Erin Greene

Erin has joined Lumino after completing her diploma in dental hygiene and therapy with Auckland University of Technology in 2011. She has worked within the dental industry for the past 10 years, working as an orthodontic auxiliary in both Tauranga and Auckland prior to her current role.

Erin enjoys working with people in a team environment and is passionate about oral health. Outside work she enjoys water polo, netball and socialising.

Amy Roes

Amy graduated from the University of Otago in 2018 with a Bachelor of Oral Health and joined Lumino at the beginning of 2020.

Amy enjoys building rapport with her patients and aims to make hygienist visits a pleasant experience.

She provides oral health advice that is easy for patients to incorporate into everyday life and will develop the best treatment plan to suit your needs. 

She loves having the opportunity to utilise both her dental hygiene and therapy skills within the role, treating both adults and children. 

Amy is Wellington born and bred. Outside of work she is passionate about ballet and loves to get out on the tennis court.

Emma Richardson

After learning the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene whilst having braces, Emma decided she wanted a career that allowed her to teach people the same thing.

Emma has a passion for education and empowering patients to take care of their teeth.

After having her braces taken off and feeling confident with her smile, Emma decided she wanted a career that allowed her to make people feel the same way. Learning the importance of having good oral hygiene as a teenager inspired her career decision.
