Whitianga Lisa Lailey
Dentist

Dr Lisa Lailey

Lisa Lailey graduated from the University of Otago (Dunedin) in 1990. She then spent ten years living and practising dentistry in England, before returning to New Zealand in 2000. She worked in dental practices in Hastings and Napier and was Honorary Secretary of the Hawke's Bay branch of the New Zealand Dental Association for a few years. Lisa has been a dentist in Whitianga since 2007.

Lisa enjoys providing tailor-made treatment solutions that give confidence and health to dental patients, some of whom had given up all hope of keeping their teeth. She gets a buzz out of people becoming positive…

Lisa Lailey graduated from the University of Otago (Dunedin) in 1990. She then spent ten years living and practising dentistry in England, before returning to New Zealand in 2000. Lisa has been a dentist in Whitianga since 2007.

Lisa enjoys providing tailor-made treatment solutions that give confidence and health to dental patients, some of whom had given up all hope of keeping their teeth. She gets a buzz out of people becoming positive about their teeth again. The most enjoyable part of her role is being thanked for providing someone with their best dental experience ever!

Lisa has a wide range of clinical interests, including preventative dentistry, periodontics (gum health), prosthodontics (crowns and dentures) and oral surgery.

Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, at home and outdoors, in the paradise that is Mercury Bay and its surrounds.

Dr Sergei Antipenko

Sergei has more than 17 years' dentistry experience, having graduated with a BDS degree in Russia in 1984. Prior to moving to New Zealand he worked in a variety of dental roles in Russia, including a position as lead dentist of a dental team caring for more than 3000 workers at a government plant.

Sergei is committed to providing dental treatment in a friendly and caring environment to achieve optimal dental health and give his patients a better smile. He makes sure to continually enhance his knowledge through seminars, conferences and post-graduate training courses.

Outside dentistry Sergei loves to spend his time with his family of three daughters tramping, camping and playing volleyball, tennis and the guitar.
Rebecca Whitianga
Dentist

Dr Rebecca Cho

Rebecca gained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2014, and worked in Singapore and other parts of New Zealand before joining the Lumino Whitianga team in 2020.

Rebecca enjoys interacting with her patients to help them towards better oral health and strives to create positive dental experiences with minimal discomfort. Her dental interests include preventative dentistry and orthodontics.

When not at work, Rebecca likes to spend quality time with family and enjoys creative hobbies like knitting and sewing.

Erin Bio
Oral Health Therapist

Erin Cawley

Erin graduated from AUT in 2011 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Oral Health) as an Oral Health Therapist.

She has a passion for maintenance of healthy gums and is a strong believer that prevention is better than cure.

Erin strives to educate her patients effectively to motivate, encourage and improve their oral care, benefiting their overall health and wellbeing.

Outside of work Erin enjoys playing netball, watching the league and is kept busy by her two daughters.
