Meet Our Team

Rochelle graduated in 2009 from Otago University with a Bachelor of Oral Health and has practiced in private practice since then. She is passionate about teen & adult oral health and enjoys helping motivate patients to look after their teeth for life.

Rochelle was born and raised in Southland on a farm near Invercargill & has worked as an Oral Health Therapist for Lumino in Gore since graduating.

Rochelle & her dog MJ moved in June 2022 to start their new adventure up in the beautiful BOP. When you meet her it will be hard to miss that big rolled “R” Southlanders are most famous for.

Outside of work you are most likely to find her at the football fields either coaching for Tauranga Moana or running goalkeeper development programs for WaiBop. She is very passionate about the development of young football players & enjoys coaching youth football the most. She will talk your ear off all day about it if you let her. When she is not doing that you'd find her out on big walks with MJ, who is absolutely loving the beach lifestyle.

She is looking forward to meeting some new faces at the practice and help to tailor an oral health program to suit your needs.

Nicolaas graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Cape, South Africa in 2011 and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Interceptive Orthodontics from the University of the Western Cape in 2019.

He enjoys all facets of general dentistry with a special interest in Aesthetic driven Restorative treatment.

What Nicolaas aims to achieve in his work is to make his patients feel comfortable in the surgery and allow them to be a part of the decision making in addressing their dental needs. He also strives to deliver high quality dentistry whilst establishing good relationships with his patients.

Nicolaas enjoys interacting with his patients and restoring confidence in their smiles. Addressing acute dental pain and seeing the patient relieved from their discomfort bring great satisfaction to him as well.

His favourite thing to do outside of the practice is enjoy time in the outdoors while mountain biking or hiking. You could also find him on the golf course trying to chase a couple of birdies.

Nicolaas’s favourite place to be is around his wife, family, and friends, enjoying good company.

Something that might surprise you about Nicolaas is that he enjoys music and occasionally play piano and guitar.

After graduating with honours in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Lancashire, Baris studied Dentistry at the University of Glasgow, UK. Since graduating, he completed Dental Foundation Training in the highly sought after South West London Scheme.

Baris has worked in the National Health Service in the UK for a very short period of time before embarking his journey into private dentistry where he gained experience in treating patients from a variety of backgrounds with a varying complexity of treatments. Baris has continued to develop his skills by undertaking further training in advanced cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry in London, as well as Invisalign, facial aesthetics and digital dentistry.

Since qualifying in 2018, Baris has been a finalist in the following categories in some prestigious awards in the UK:

-Best Young Dentist 2021 at The Dentistry Awards
-Best Ceramic (crowns and veneers) Smile Makeover 2022 at the Dentistry Clinical Case Awards
-Best Treatment of Nervous Patients at the Private Dentistry Awards 2022
-Best Charity and Community Project 2022 at the Private Dentistry Awards 2022

Baris’ calming nature reflects onto his patients and he is always happy to go the extra mile to ensure his patients feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Baris enjoys getting to know his patients and giving them a smile they are proud of.

Outside of dentistry, Baris enjoys travelling, diving, watching football, camping and playing guitar, and recently playing saxophone. He is a big foodie. He loves cooking and visiting new restaurants to explore new tastes.
