Born and brought up in Dubai, Ali moved to New Zealand in 2009 soon after graduating from the most prestigious dental school in India. Ali completed his dental training at University of Otago for a year before clearing the NZ dental registration exams.

Ali has worked in Dunedin, Napier and Auckland. He is passionate about dentistry and keeps up to date with the latest in dentistry and technology so that he can provide the best to his clients. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in orthodontics.

Ali’s clients consider him as a kind, caring and gentle practitioner who takes time to listen and discuss treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Apart from work, Ali loves cricket and enjoys spending time with his wife and little girl.

Dr Sally (Hua) Sun graduated from the University of Otago in 2022 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She began her career in a private practice in Tauranga, where she gained valuable experience across a wide range of dental treatments. Sally will be seeing Dr Emma's current patients while Emma is on maternity leave. Sally is fluent in Mandarin.

Sally has a particular interest in fillings, restorative work, and preventative dentistry. She is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles and strives to make every appointment as comfortable and painless as possible. Building rapport and creating a positive dental experience for her patients is at the heart of her approach.

Outside of work, Sally enjoys spending time with her loved ones, watching movies, exploring the city on foot, and travelling. She is also a proud fur mum to two beautiful Golden British Shorthair cats.

Dr David Wang completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in 2020 and has spent the past five years working in private practice in Wellington. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, David enjoys providing high‑quality, accessible dental care to a diverse patient community.

His clinical interests include preventive dentistry, restorative treatments, extractions, and prosthodontics. David enjoys helping patients solve problems by restoring damaged teeth, relieving discomfort through extractions, or rebuilding a confident smile with crowns and other prosthodontic treatments. Seeing patients leave feeling relieved, happy, and confident is the most rewarding part of his work.

Outside the clinic, David enjoys playing the violin, staying active with badminton, exploring new restaurants, and attending ballet performances. He also loves travelling during longer breaks, discovering new cultures, and experiencing different foods and environments.

Rebecca graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Oral Health from Auckland University of Technology. She currently works across two clinics in Auckland and is also mentoring junior Oral Health Therapists, which allows her to share her knowledge and support the next generation of professionals.

Rebecca's passion for oral health drives her to deliver a high standard of care with attention to detail and a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for both patients and her team.

She was actively involved in the former New Zealand Dental Hygienists’ Association since her student years and later served as Chairperson of the Auckland branch for four years. Rebecca also participates in multiple oral health study groups, which continue to expand and strengthen her skills, knowledge, and professional network.

In 2021, Rebecca collaborated with Dementia Waikato to create and publish an oral health promotion booklet designed to support people living with dementia. This area of special interest allows her to represent her profession in meaningful ways and provide valuable resources to the wider community. She is committed to supporting patients with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine love for what she does.

Outside of work you will find Rebecca involved with her two children, working on her home or out running working towards yet another half marathon.

Darren graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Otago in 2019. He is enthusiastic about providing a warm and welcoming experience for his patients while promoting good oral hygiene. Prior to that, he had completed a degree in Pharmacology. He believes that a healthy smile boosts self-esteem and contributes to overall well-being.

Darren connects with people from diverse backgrounds and can communicate fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He enjoys educating and equipping them with the tools to maintain good oral health. He strives to make each visit comfortable and stress-free, whether it's a routine cleaning or a more complex procedure.

Outside of work, Darren enjoys exploring new places, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with his cats. He looks forward to meeting new patients and working alongside them to transform their smiles."
