Frankton Dental Judy Sims
Dentist

Dr Judy Sim

Judy was the founder of Frankton Dental in 1993. She graduated from Otago and first came to Queenstown in 1989. She enjoys providing gentle dental care focused on achieving great dental health which looks great too.

Judy performs all forms of general dentistry with a recent interest in restoring dental implants and is committed to helping patients keep their teeth for life.

Judy is married with two sons who will testify all parenting advice received by their mother at has been put into practice - the result is sons she is very proud of.

When not at work she can be found on one of Queenstown's amazing hill trails or spending time with friends and family.

Dentist

Dr Lia Dessy-Moore

Lia is from Argentina, where she studied her Bachelor of Dental Surgery, tutoring in Biophysics and worked in general dentistry for 7 years. She also completed a 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Buenos Aires in 2000.

Lia moved and settled in Queenstown and sat the New Zealand Dental Registration Examinations. With her relaxed style of treatment and her keen interest in complex restorations, crowns, bridges and dentures she brings 20 years of experience and a friendly and smiling vibe.

Outside of work Lia enjoys travelling with her husband and 4 year old daughter, snowboarding, skiing and riding her new electric bike.

Frankton Dental Janet Lamont
Dentist

Dr Janet Lamont

Janet has been practising dentistry for 20 years graduating from Otago University in 1995.

She has experience in general practice, private practice, minor oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. After living and working in Auckland, Sydney and the UK, Janet returned to New Zealand 4 years ago and is happily settled in general dentistry, particularly enjoying a female group practice.

Janet is active in most sports, especially enjoying skiing, triathlons and dog walking.

Kimberly

Kimberly Miller

Kimberly began working for Lumino as a Dental Assistant in 2012. She really enjoyed learning about Dentistry and decided to continue her education.
In 2017 she received a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Otago. Over the years Kimberly has worked in both general and specialist practices, as well as gaining valuable experience practicing in Australia. The most important goal in her practice is providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients, a place where people can receive a necessary health service with less anxiety. Janet Beale

Janet graduated 35 years ago as dental therapist and has worked in Northland, Bay of Plenty, Otago and Adelaide in South Australia.

Before moving to Queenstown in 2001 with her husband she worked as a teaching fellow at the School of Dentistry, University of Otago.

She feels it is a privilege to work with children and enjoys being involved with introducing them and their parents to dentistry. She works with children from birth through to 18 years of age. Away from work she enjoys getting outdoors hiking, skiing and gardening and catching up with family and friends going to the movies.

So if your adolescent hasn't have their teeth checked since year 8 call us- we have clinics on a Monday evening so they don't need to miss school!

Percival Tennekoon Frankton
Dentist

Dr Percival (Roly) Tennekoon

Roly graduated in 1991 at the University of Western Australia in Perth. He worked as a partner in a private practice just south of Perth until 2008. His Wife & children then moved to Christchurch, New Zealand. Roly continued working as a General Dentist until his recent move to Queenstown in 2021.


His family has absolutely loved Queenstown since he got married there in 1996. It is now their home & he hopes that he can offer his patients a comfortable, painless dental experience. Roly's dental interests include extractions, immediate & permanent removable full & partial dentures.


Roly's personal interests include keeping healthy & fit, going to the gym, walking the dogs along the Arrow river, skiing, & windsurfing.
