Alani Bartle was awarded her dentistry degree with Excellence from The University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 2002, receiving academic honorary colors and the clinical prize for Excellence in Periodontology.
Throughout the next 17 years, Alani worked in dental practices in Pretoria, Johannesburg and Rustenburg and has focused her professional development on all aspects of cosmetic dentistry including composite and ceramic restorations as well as orthodontics. Alani has been constantly upskilling herself, keeping up to date with the ever-evolving technology and latest techniques in all aspects of dentistry.

After immigrating to New Zealand in July 2019, she settled into Hamilton with her husband and two daughters and recently joined the Chartwell Dental Team after working in another local practice for two years.
At Chartwell Dental, Alani enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is focused on gentle treatments to minimize discomfort, while providing long lasting dentistry of the highest quality. She believes in empowering patients to achieve the best oral health possible.
Alani has a passion for aesthetic dentistry and enjoys cosmetic work, facial aesthetics, and orthodontics. She loves the art of dentistry and enjoys performing Smile makeovers.
Alani is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (NZACD).
When not working, Alani enjoys spending time with her husband Clyde and two daughters. They love exploring the beauty of New Zealand together. Alani also loves gardening.

Originally from Te Awamutu, Brad graduated from Otago University in 1997 and began his first few years practicing in Levin then Auckland before heading off to the UK in 2000 to travel and experience a bit more of the world.
In between lots of overseas adventure and travel, I spent the next 20 years practicing in London where I enjoyed looking after a very diverse and loyal patient base.
During this time gained invaluable clinical experience whilst continually updating my skills and knowledge by attending numerous continuing education courses including several intensive yearlong post graduate certificate training courses in Restorative Dentistry, Endodontics and Dental Implants.
Brad enjoys the daily challenge of general dentistry from fillings, extractions and ceramic restorations to root canals and more cosmetic and extensive rehabilitations. Brad has a particular focus on thorough diagnosis and prevention and prides himself on an honest and comprehensive approach to patient care. Brad believes in educating and empowering patients to help them achieve and maintain their own long term dental health. It feels great to be able to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Outside of work Brad enjoys film, travel, cycling, gym and spending time with my partner and 2 young kids on our family weekend adventures rediscovering New Zealand all over again!

In his early career, Andrew worked in private practice in his hometown of Hawera. Andrew and his family then headed off to Palmerston North where he worked in the hospital for the next 22 years. He enjoyed treating people who needed a hospital setting due to their medical condition. He also enjoyed putting these very anxious patients at rest and relating to them in a way that was down-to-earth and met their needs.

Rebecca graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2013 with a dual degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.
Originally from Hamilton her interest in dentistry began as a child and she became more fascinated in this field as she underwent 3 years of orthodontic work as a teenager. It has expanded in to a great passion which she brings into her practice every day. She believes that prevention is key and will always go the extra mile to help her patients to achieve great oral health.
She likes to live an active lifestyle as well as keeping herself busy. Some of Rebecca’s hobbies include attending music events, playing piano, cooking, surfing, snowboarding, caving and travel!
Fijian born Sivanjani (Shivani) Chandra graduated from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in 2020. After graduating she worked with the Waikato District Health Board and has now joined the Lumino Team.
Shivani enjoys looking after both adolescents and adult patients at our practices. She absolutely enjoys dentistry and caring for people. Her main aim is to help patients improve their oral health and to ensure her patients leave the practice with a great smile.
Outside of practice hours, Shivani enjoys spending time with her family and visiting new places. She is married to Kushal and is the proud mother of 2 children.
