What made you decide to get into dentistry as a career?
Not an easy one to answer, but I suppose I had a passion for science, medicine and working with my hands. I didn't know I would love it so much until I actually started doing it.
How long have you been practising dentistry?
6 years.
Tell us about your career background
I worked in multiple private practices across Canada and also did one year in a cancer hospital obtaining a dental oncology fellowship/training.
What is your most memorable case to date?
Lots of fun cases, hard to remember them all, but most recently I did a nice esthetic one for a patient that involved root canal retreatment, gum surgery and a bridge and crown. It's nice to be able to employ various disciplines in one case.
What do you love most about your job?
The constant challenge and earning a patient's trust.
What are your special interests in dentistry?
Mainly surgery, but I'm learning to enjoy all aspects.
What is the main piece of advice you give your patients?
See a hygienist, healthy gums are important.
Where would you find yourself outside of the practice?
Golfing, hiking, camping, scuba diving and riding my motorcycle. Recently got into hunting and would also like to obtain my skydiving certification in New Zealand.
