From The Dentist's Mouth - Dr Catherine See

Dr Catherine See has joined the team at Lumino Red Beach after relocating from Lumino Invercargill.

What made you decide to get into dentistry as a career?
I was drawn to dentistry because it combines scientific knowledge with artistic skills. Restoring teeth and improving smiles involves a creative approach that I find very rewarding.

How long have you been practising dentistry?
I have been practising dentistry since graduating from the University of Otago in 2019.

Tell us about your career background.
I joined Lumino The Dentists in 2019 and have worked in private practices across the Southland region, including Gore and Invercargill.

What do you love most about your job?
Helping patients for relief of pain and being able to diagnose and treat dental problems.

What are your special interests in dentistry?
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry with an interest in endodontics and restorative treatment.

What is the main piece of advice you give your patients?
Practising good regular home care with daily flossing and brushing is essential for the life-long health of your teeth and gums.

Where would we find you outside of the practice?
Running, hiking or exploring the great outdoors. During the warmer months, I embark on multi-day hikes, aiming to complete all of the Great Walks in New Zealand.
