Specialising in the field of periodontology and implantology is a rewarding and exciting field and one Richard has been involved with since 2001.
Constant advances in these areas means that often, even patients with advanced problems can be successfully treated. Now when teeth can no longer be maintained, dental implants provide patients with a “fixed” option to replace missing teeth.
The benefit of healthy gums has been linked to a healthy heart with reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes so take the opportunity to have your gums checked by Richard or one of his clinical team.
Rachael
Rachel trained as an Oral Health Therapist in Auckland at AUT University, graduating in 2013. Soon after she decided to move to Christchurch to be closer to her siblings. Rachel has been with Henderson Periodontics and Implants for just over a year and is enjoying learning from all of her colleagues in this specialist practice.
Ravy Man
Ravy graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from Otago University in 2022. She was awarded the Annette King Prize, Otago University Prestige Scholarship in Oral Health, and The Lumino The Dentists Scholarship for Oral Health Therapists.
Ravy's dental interests are paediatric and adolescent dentistry. She enjoys getting to know her patients and empowering them to improve their oral health and be more confident with their smile.
Her goal is to make dentistry a more youth-friendly environment.
Outside of work, Ravy enjoys travelling, spending time with family and crocheting, which included making bags and crochet animals.
