Professionally, he would like to develop his skills in the areas of endodontics and surgical extractions and keep up to date with latest developments in dentistry.
What Marius loves most about his job is the variety of workplaces and people he’s worked with, having worked in rural and remote (outback) communities, regional and coastal locations, with the Royal Flying Doctors’ Service, high-end private practice, or volunteer work in East Timor and now Queenstown, it’s provided him with exposure to diverse people and places that keep the work interesting and fulfilling. On a personal level, he also loves when he can dispel the old stigma of dentistry being painful and rough and provide patients with a positive, gentle, and pain-free experience.
His favourite things to do outside of his practice are hike and mountain bike with his wife and two dogs. He does a bit of off-road skateboarding on some of the trails too. During warmer months, he’s normally out hydro foiling on the lake or going for drives on his motorbike or Series Landrover (if and when it works) and snowboards in the winter. Indoors, he normally relaxes with a good book and some local wine or annoy his wife trying to play his banjo.
Marius’ favourite place to be is anywhere with his wife and dogs.
Something that might surprise you about Marius is that he may occasionally be see around town on his Penny Farthing (normally on his way to get some bubble tea).
