Lead Dentist

Dr Jamie Hopkirk

Jamie graduated from Otago University in 1979, and then just four years later in 1983 he set up the Queenstown practice. Over the last 30+ years he has expanded the practice to where it is today, with an on-site dental technician, hygienist, surgeon and dentists, who are all motivated to produce high quality work.

Jamie enjoys having a good team around him and clients with a happy smile at the end of their treatment – including those he first treated almost 30 years ago with dental work that looks as good as the day he did it!

Brian’s early career in general dentistry and maxillo-facial surgery gradually led to an increased focus on cosmetic procedures and high-grade general dentistry.

Brian has owned and directed dental practices in the Waikato region, prior to relocating to Auckland to open a practice in Queens Streets Landmark house, catering for the total dental needs of professional clientele and families alike. Brian also opened a primary care dental practice in West Auckland.

As a dedicated advocate for the New Zealand dental profession, Brian has consistently occupied positions of responsibility and leadership throughout his career, serving Honorary Secretary-Treasurer of the New Zealand region of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons from 1985-1991 and then as its Chairman from 1995-2001. Brian is also a member of the NZDA and a founding member of the New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In 1995 the opportunity to relocate to the stunning penthouse suite (complete with historic clocktower) on the 8th floor of Landmark House saw Brian expand his Queen Street charming surrounds. Brian continues to practice with one goal in mind: to provide his patients with the very best in personal care and dental treatment.

Brian is married to Hilaire and has two married sons, three grandchildren (and one granddog). He enjoys skiing and fishing.
