From The Dentist's Mouth - Dr Fiona Chen

Dr Fiona Chen is excited to join the Lumino Pitt Street team with interests in preventative and restorative dentistry.

What made you decide to get into dentistry as a career?

Growing up, I was lucky enough to enjoy visiting my dentist and it was something I always aspired towards.

How long have you been practising dentistry?

I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021 and have been practising since then.

Tell us about your career background.

Since graduating, I spent my first 2 years working in Maryborough, a regional town of Queensland. This exposed me to a diverse population and allowed me to hone my skills in all aspects of general dentistry.

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy being able to work with patients to improve their oral health and put a smile on their faces.

What are your special interests in dentistry?

I enjoy preventative and restorative dentistry.

What is the main piece of advice you give your patients? 

Help me help you maintain your smile. I believe it is a joint effort between the patient and I to better their oral health. 

Where would we find you outside of the practice?

Outside of work, you may find me exploring your beautiful country or trying out different restaurants.
