Dr Holly Christmas is a general dentist with a special interest in conservative and cosmetic dentistry including implants, dental bonding, root canal treatment and Invisalign. She has been fully accredited with Invisalign since 2018 and has completed a post graduate diploma in Digital Orthodontics (PGDip Dig. Ortho. (UK)). She is proud to have been a member of the Lumino Clinical Advisory Board since 2019.

Holly graduated from the University of Otago in 2003, with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with credit. She then went on to complete two years as an oral and maxillofacial house surgeon at Christchurch Hospital.

Following three years in Scotland working at the Glasgow Dental School and in private practice, Holly returned to New Zealand in 2008 to work at Frankton Dental.

Holly went from associate to owner, and in 2018 entered into a joint venture with Lumino The Dentists, something she is very excited about. Her team is what makes her most proud. She loves working in a collaborative environment, incorporating new technology and providing quality care that patients can get excited about.

In her spare time Holly enjoys biking, skiing, motorbiking and jet boating with her family.

Dr Judy Sim

Judy was the founder of Frankton Dental in 1993. She graduated from Otago and first came to Queenstown in 1989. She enjoys providing gentle dental care focused on achieving great dental health which looks great too.

Judy performs all forms of general dentistry with a recent interest in restoring dental implants and is committed to helping patients keep their teeth for life.

Judy is married with two sons who will testify all parenting advice received by their mother at has been put into practice - the result is sons she is very proud of.

When not at work she can be found on one of Queenstown's amazing hill trails or spending time with friends and family.

Dentist

Dr Lia Dessy-Moore

Lia is from Argentina, where she studied her Bachelor of Dental Surgery, tutoring in Biophysics and worked in general dentistry for 7 years. She also completed a 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Buenos Aires in 2000.

Lia moved and settled in Queenstown and sat the New Zealand Dental Registration Examinations. With her relaxed style of treatment and her keen interest in complex restorations, crowns, bridges and dentures she brings 20 years of experience and a friendly and smiling vibe.

Outside of work Lia enjoys travelling with her husband and 4 year old daughter, snowboarding, skiing and riding her new electric bike.

Frankton Dental Angela Maxwell Mcrae
Dentist

Dr Angela Maxwell-McRae

Angela has been practising dentistry for 18 years graduating from the University of Otago in 1998. She enjoys general dental practice and has a special interest in endodontics and minimal intervention dentistry. She also enjoys treating nervous patients and making their dental visits as painless and stress free as possible.

After living and working in Dunedin and then the UK, Angela returned to NZ and has been with the practice since 2006.

Outside of work she enjoys travelling, skiing, biking, music and if you are ever at the Arrowtown Autumn festival keep an eye out for her alter ego can-canning down the main street as a member of the Buckingham Belles.

Dentist

Dr Janet Lamont

Janet has been practising dentistry for 20 years graduating from Otago University in 1995.

She has experience in general practice, private practice, minor oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. After living and working in Auckland, Sydney and the UK, Janet returned to New Zealand 4 years ago and is happily settled in general dentistry, particularly enjoying a female group practice.

Janet is active in most sports, especially enjoying skiing, triathlons and dog walking.

Ross Davidson
Dentist

Dr Ross Davidson Buchanan

Ross joins the team after working as the referring Oral Surgery Practitioner for Southern Lakes District for 25 years.

His dental interests include oral surgery, IV sedation, implantology but he also enjoys all other aspects of dentistry. 

Outside of work Ross enjoys spending time with his wife, Polly and two daughters Gabby and Kelby.

His personal interests include sailing, mountain biking, running, skiing, tramping and musical theatre.

Jessie Tucker

Jessie has been practising Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy for 5 years.

She has more focus on Dental Hygiene as this is where her passion is. She always strives to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible and is a firm believer that prevention is better than cure. Jesse wants her patients to love coming in for their recall maintenance appointments.

Outside of work Jessie rows for Wakatipu Rowing Club, trains at the gym and enjoys tackling the beautiful mountains.

Rachel Walker
Hygienist

Rachel Walker-Smith

Rachel is a registered Dental Hygienist, graduating in 1997 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Otago University. She has worked in the dental industry since 1989.

Rachel has extensive experience in treating periodontal disease. Her patients enjoy her gentle, caring nature and meticulous treatment.

She regularly attends conferences and seminars for her professional development and to retain her current practicing certificate. She is also a member of the New Zealand Dental Hygienist Association.

Rachel has lived in Queenstown for 16 years with her partner and two teenage daughters. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and walking her border collie Maisie. She also loves sailing, skiing, biking and traveling.

Holly Johnson graduated from Dalhousie University in Canada in 2013 with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene. She's excited to be a part of the Frankton Dental team on Saturdays.

Her passions lie in educating and assisting patients in oral hygiene instruction, and prevention processes. She also feels strongly about her own professional development.
Holly says she loves being in the health profession, working one on one with patients and making sure they leave the practice having a positive experience.

Hannah Jarmany
Practice Manager

Hannah Jarmany

Hannah stepped into the Practice Manager role in February 2020. She has since moved to Multi-Site Practice Manager, covering all Lumino practices in Queenstown.

Hannah is originally from the UK, where she worked as a dental assistant and gained her Advanced Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing and Certificate in Dental Radiography. She loves learning and is currently studying a Health Science degree at Massey University.

Her interests outside of work tend towards the adventurous. She loves making the most of what Queenstown has to offer- she loves snowboarding, wake boarding, downhill mountain biking, hiking, and camping trips. She's also a bit crazy about her two cats.

Percival Tennekoon Frankton
Dentist

Dr Percival (Roly) Tennekoon

Roly graduated in 1991 at the University of Western Australia in Perth. He worked as a partner in a private practice just south of Perth until 2008. His Wife & children then moved to Christchurch, New Zealand. Roly continued working as a General Dentist until his recent move to Queenstown in 2021.


His family has absolutely loved Queenstown since he got married there in 1996. It is now their home & he hopes that he can offer his patients a comfortable, painless dental experience. Roly's dental interests include extractions, immediate & permanent removable full & partial dentures.


Roly's personal interests include keeping healthy & fit, going to the gym, walking the dogs along the Arrow river, skiing, & windsurfing.
