Meet Our Team

Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 in 2001 from Otago University. She came to Hawkes Bay in 2002 to take up an appointment as a Dental House Surgeon appointment at Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital, where she stayed for two years.

Falling in love with Hawkes Bay, Sarah decided to stay and make this wonderful region her home. In 2004 she joined the team at Lumino Havelock North and has been with them ever since.

Sarah loves being a dentist and describes her chosen career as extremely rewarding. She knows that many patients are fearful of the dental environment. She does her best to reduce this fear and give them a positive and supportive experience.

Sarah is married to Mark and has three amazing step-children, Phoebe, Joel and Abby. She also has a gorgeous grandson Luca.  Sarah loves playing competitive lawn bowls and is an avid reader of non-fiction books.  Sarah adores animals and volunteers at the Hastings SPCA on a weekly basis.

Josephine has been practising dentistry for 31 years. Josephine worked in private practice for 2 years then travelled to the UK, where she worked as a locum for 18 months, mostly South of London. Josephine then returned to Whakatane and stayed there for another 22 years in a group practice. Six years ago, her and her family relocated to Hawkes Bay where she’s worked in several practices since. Most recently Josephine has been at a sole practitioner practice in Central Hawkes Bay. She loved working in a small community, and is now looking forward to being in a practice much closer to her home of Havelock North

Josephine enjoys the variety she has in her day and enjoys providing general dentistry. She loves meeting people from all walks of life and making their dental experience as relaxing and pain free as possible. She aims to find out their needs and expectations and strives to meet those as best as she can.

Outside of work, Josephine enjoys spending time with her husband and sporty teenage daughter. She goes to the gym regularly, enjoys walks up Te Mata Peak, cycling, wineries, and has been trying to learn golf.

Krizzia graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Otago in 2018. Since then she has worked in both public and private practices.

Her first job was at the Hawkes Bay DHB where Krizzia grew up, treating kids 18 and under, this job allowed her to sharpen her surgical skills, which included fillings, pulpotomies and extractions of primary teeth. She then pursued private work where she found her passion for oral hygiene and the links to systemic health.

Krizzia's goals are to improve patient outcomes and to continue to grow and expand her knowledge as there is always something to learn. The thing Krizzia loves most about her job is getting to know her patients and the satisfaction of patients after an appointment.

Krizzia has always had a passion for working with children and helping others improve their overall well being. Outside of work Krizzia enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being outdoors, reading, hiking, and swimming at the beach. Krizzia is also a certified yoga teacher and has a side hustle making cakes! Aside from all of this, Krizzia is also a mother.
