Haneen spent the first 18 years of her life in Christchurch prior to heading to Dunedin to get educated. She graduated from The University of Otago in 2016 and has been working in the deep South ever since. She spends parts of her week in Christchurch due to her family and husband being based here and will eventually be finding her way back to the city she was raised in. She says she couldn’t be more fortunate to find herself in a career that she's extremely passionate about and enjoys. Haneen enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a particular interest in biomimetic and cosmetic dentistry as well as root canal treatment.

Outside of dentistry, Haneen's big on sports, especially football. One of her favourite things to do is watch Manchester United fail miserably. She's a Liverpool fan but it doesn’t really matter to her how Liverpool is doing, as long as United is having no success. She's also very keen on the great outdoors and can be accurately described as an adrenaline junkie. Some of the dangerous things she enjoys doing include but are not limited to: jumping out of planes, climbing cliffs without safety ropes and consuming as much dairy as she possibly can despite being lactose intolerant. Sometimes when she's feeling really daring, she will sit in the sun with no sunscreen on.
