Dr Baris Alhan

After graduating with honours in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Central Lancashire, Baris studied Dentistry at the University of Glasgow, UK. Since graduating, he completed Dental Foundation Training in the highly sought after South West London Scheme.

Baris has worked in the National Health Service in the UK for a very short period of time before embarking his journey into private dentistry where he gained experience in treating patients from a variety of backgrounds with a varying complexity of treatments. Baris has continued to develop his skills by undertaking further training in advanced cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry in London, as well as Invisalign, facial aesthetics and digital dentistry.

The Invisalign® System is a virtually invisible treatment that uses an innovative approach to gently yet effectively straighten your teeth. Through a series of custom-made, removable aligners made with unique SmartForce® technology, the Invisalign® system gradually and predictably moves your teeth to an ideal position.

Invisalign® clear aligners can treat gapped teeth, crossbite, overbite, underbite, overcrowding and openbite.

The price of Invisalign® will vary depending on your specific needs. The cost will also vary according to your treatment goals, the time treatment will take and the difficulty of your case. At your consultation visit with your orthodontist or Invisalign®-certified dentist, they will determine the cost of the treatment. 

You may experience some discomfort or pressure for a few days with each change of aligners. This is completely normal and is a sign that Invisalign® is doing its job – moving your teeth to their new, straighter position. Any pain or discomfort you experience with Invisalign® is noticeably less than the pain metal braces can cause.

The length of your treatment will depend on the movement you require and can only be determined by your dentist or orthodontist. The length of time required for adolescent patients may vary and can be determined by your dentist or orthodontist.

Aligners are most effective when worn at least 20 to 22 hours a day. They should only be removed for eating, and brushing and flossing your teeth.
