Emma grew up in England and trained as a dentist at The University of Liverpool. She served five years as a dentist in The Royal Navy, during which time she worked in Scotland, England and Gibraltar.
Emma arrived in New Zealand in 2005 and worked in a dental practice near Auckland, where she met her husband before they moved down to Christchurch in 2006. Emma has a post graduate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, which ensures you are in very capable, gentle hands. She indeed just really enjoys all aspects of dentistry.
Outside dentistry Emma is keen on tramping, playing hockey and watching the odd game of rugby.
Julia graduated from Bristol University in UK 1995 and joined the British Army where she worked as a dentist for 5 years. During this time, she qualified with post graduate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

She is an avid sportsperson, an enthusiastic skier, and a particularly keen runner, and despite many lessons is rubbish at tennis.
She fell in love with New Zealand when she competed in the Wanaka Ironman Triathlon in 2013 Wanaka.
Fulfilling her dream Julia moved to New Zealand in early 2019 after working for the British Government as a Dentist in Cyprus for 9 years.
She brings with her a wealth of experience and particular skills in the field of root canal therapy and restoration dentistry to the Darfield practice. In 2018 she finished her Diploma in Primary Dental Care from Edinburgh University.

Growing up afraid of the dentist (and partially still is), Marcus possesses a deep understanding of the anxieties behind dental treatment and specialises in providing pain-free techniques to his clinical practice, tailoring a plan unique to each patient's individual needs.
Having seen patients for over 6 years, Marcus combines his expertise in empathetic patient management with his meticulous skills in general, cosmetic and emergency-based dentistry to minimize anxiety and to maximize patient satisfaction.
Outside dentistry, Marcus has a background in lead generation marketing and e-commerce and is currently focusing on the potential of artificial intelligence in business.
Lyn graduated from Otago University School of Dentistry with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2003.
Her mission is to guide her patients in achieving optimal oral health. There’s nothing better for her then the smiles she brings to people’s faces and the changes she brings to people’s lives through oral health.
Lyn’s a bit of a fitness fanatic, she teaches body balance in her spare time and loves gardening, exploring the outdoors and fishing with her husband and dog.
Leanne brings great skills to the role of Reception and Office Support. She also combines chairside support into her position.
Her experience in business, IT and depth of experience with St John, gives the team another very skilled person for looking after the lovely patients in Darfield and greater area.
Kathy Nustrini is the Senior Receptionist at Darfield Dental. She relocated to Darfield in January 2019 after a trip the previous year when she fell in love with the Southern Alps.
Kathy has been working with Lumino The Dentists since June 2016, and brings past experience from her previous front office reception role with Lumino in Torbay.

Outside of the practice she spends all her time with her family, horses and property.
