Dentist

Dr David Rumble

With 22 years experience in all areas of general dentistry, David loves that the dental centre now has a choice of clinicians and great staff to look after the wonderful patients in Darfield and outlying areas.

David has been in the region since 1999, and offers all areas of dentistry from basic filling through to implant restorations and full cosmetic dentistry.

He has a passion for patients learning, maintaining and controlling their own mouths. To this end, he loves being a part of the process of empowering patients. Quality dentistry is always the care affordable to the patient, done to the highest level by a passionate health provider, supported by staff who really care for the patients.

Dr Julia Tully

Julia graduated from Bristol University in UK 1995 and joined the British Army where she worked as a dentist for 5 years. During this time, she qualified with post graduate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

After leaving the Army as a Major, Julia practiced her dentistry in several private UK clinics and also worked for the NHS where she was responsible for setting up an emergency dentistry clinic.

She is an avid sportsperson, an enthusiastic skier, and a particularly keen runner, and despite many lessons is rubbish at tennis.

She fell in love with New Zealand when she competed in the Wanaka Ironman Triathlon in 2013 Wanaka.

Fulfilling her dream Julia moved to New Zealand in early 2019 after working for the British Government as a Dentist in Cyprus for 9 years.

She brings with her a wealth of experience and particular skills in the field of root canal therapy and restoration dentistry to the Darfield practice. In 2018 she finished her Diploma in Primary Dental Care from Edinburgh University.

Oral Health Therapist

Grace Fischer

Grace graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral health in 2012.

Since graduating she has had experience working with adults and children in New Zealand and overseas in third world countries both working and volunteering.

Her role as an oral health therapist is to help patients maintain and treat gum disease and improve their dental health by encouraging healthy home care habits and regular hygiene maintenance.

Grace enjoys spending time with her family, tramping and running in her spare time.

Dr Rebekah Eves

Rebekah is a new arrival from Ireland. Rebekah comes to us to help out the lovely patients of Darfield, as a general dentist.

Passionate about good balanced patient focused care, Rebekah and her partner are looking at possibly settling in NZ and have chosen Darfield as their starting point, we definitely hope to help make it work for them!

Receptionist, Chairside Assistant and Nurse Support

Leanne Hadfield

The newest member of the team at Darfield Dental, Leanne brings great skills to the role of Reception and Office Support. She also combines charside support into her position.

Her experience in business, IT and depth of experience with St John, gives the team another very skilled person for looking after the lovely patients in Darfield and greater area.

Claire Nash

Claire is the head nurse at Darfield Dental.

Claire moved from the UK 13 years ago with her husband and two girls. Claire has been working at Darfield Dental for the last 7 years.

She has huge experience with both reception, back office and chairside nursing.

Her wonderful way with patients and commitment to their care has made her an essential member of the team.

Claire brings a lovely community based awareness to the staff and this is reflected in the patients feeling very comfortable knowing she is around and involved in the care they take up.

Reception and Office Support

Kathy Nustrini

Kathy Nustrini is the Senior Receptionist at Darfield Dental. She relocated to Darfield in January 2019 after a trip the previous year when she fell in love with the Southern Alps.

Kathy has been working with Lumino The Dentists since June 2016, and brings past experience from her previous front office reception role with Lumino in Torbay.

“I love my role at the front desk helping patients with their dental needs and appointments, I like to have the bookings running smoothly for our team of clinicians, staff and patients and being a people person, I like the interaction with people.”

Outside of the practice she spends all her time with her family, horses and property.

Chairside Nurse and Office Support

Melissa Wards

Melissa moved from the States to New Zealand in 2018 with her Kiwi partner and two young boys.

She is a Registered Nurse who is passionate about the correlation between good oral hygiene and overall health and well-being.
