What made you decide to get into dentistry as a career?
I love how practical dentistry is as a career. It is not very often in a career that you’re side by side with the patient throughout their treatment journey ranging from the initial consultations, the treatment and the subsequent followups and recalls; feeling like you’re able to make a difference and to see that difference is what makes this job satisfying.

Tell us about your career background?
I had graduated from the University of Otago in 2020 and had moved back to my home town in Christchurch straight into private practice where I have worked multiple part time jobs to gain more experience in varying demographics. This flexibility has also given me the ability to work on other business projects outside of work!
What is your most memorable case to date?
My own! I am my first Invisalign patient. Seeing my own transformation has not only boosted my confidence, but it has also encouraged me to enable such a transformation to occur with my own patients.
What do you love most about your job?
The ability to transform mouths and to make people confident enough to smile again.
What are your special interests in dentistry?
Invisalign.
What is the main piece of advice you give your patients?
One root canal could possibly cost you at least 10 years of dental checkups. Get your routine checkups done!
Where would we find you outside of the practice?
Working on my business projects! We are currently exploring the applications of AI automation and marketing in the dental practice.
