Sanjay qualified as a dentist (BDS) at Otago in 1986. Upon graduating, Sanjay started working in the first private A&E clinic in Auckland, later setting up his own A&E clinic at Takanini, while also operating a general practice in Pukekohe since 1991.
Sanjay has an interest in general dentistry (in particular implants and root canals) and cosmetic dentistry to improve a patient’s smile. He has a conservative approach and is a current member of the New Zealand Dental Association, Auckland Dental Association, and New Zealand Society of Endodontic.
Outside of work Sanjay enjoys playing hockey and also is a keen gardener and likes landscaping.
Arun graduated from the University of Auckland in 1981 and gained his BSc biochemistry. He then went onto gain his BDS at Otago University.
He has worked in his Private practice in Auckland since graduating. He now enjoys working with the team at Lumino.
He offers kind and caring dentistry.
Arun likes boating, fishing and likes a good laugh over a Craft beer. He is also occasionally seen playing the didgeridoo.
Dr John Hodgson graduated in 1973 with a BDS and in 1982 with a MDS in Orthodontics from the University of Otago.
You could say dentistry runs in his blood, Dr Hodgson’s own father was an orthodontist and he says he has fond and fascinating memories of assisting him many years ago.
Dr Hodgson describes the work he does as a form of art and says he loves seeing the joy in his patients (and parents of patients) once treatment has been completed.
Louise graduated from Otago Polytechnic in 2000, as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Louise’s dental interests includes preventive oral health, whitening and helping people achieve the smile they want.
Louise enjoys meeting new people and developing long term relationships within her role. When Louise isn’t attending professional development courses, she is kept busy by her two daughters and husband. Outside of work she is also treasurer for the school PTA.
Hasani is a registered Oral Health Therapist (OHT) gaining her Bachelor of Oral Health degree from the University of Otago. As an oral health therapist, She is qualified to provide hygiene treatments to patients and also tend to adolescent patients dental needs under the NZ Adolescent Dental Benefit.
Hasani believes in a preventive approach to dentistry and does whatever she can to motivate her patients on their ongoing journey to maintaining excellent oral hygiene for healthy teeth and gums. In the future she wishes to expand her horizon to other aspects of dentistry such as cosmetic dentistry and orthodontic auxiliary.
