What are veneers?
Veneers can be used to treat a number of cosmetic tooth concerns and have been used to help achieve perfect smiles for years. Veneers are often referred to as tooth-laminates. They are very thin, tooth-coloured shells that are shaped to then bond to the front of your teeth - looking and acting just like your normal teeth.
There are two types of veneers, porcelain veneers and composite veneers:
- Porcelain veneers are ideal for chipped, uneven, and discoloured teeth. Your dentist will prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of the front surface of the tooth to allow space for the porcelain.
- Composite veneers are a conservative alternative to porcelain veneers that require minimal or no reshaping of the natural tooth.
Struggling with chipped or discoloured teeth? Feeling self-conscious about gaps between your teeth? Veneers are a great solution and give a spectacular lift to your smile.
